VibraCool Plantar Fasciitis Pain Relief Device | Australia & New Zealand
The same pain researcher and physician who invented Buzzy®, used in over 37 million needle procedures worldwide. VibraCool applies the same M-Stim science to muscle and joint pain relief.
If you have plantar fasciitis, heel pain, or foot pain and have tried ice packs, TENS machines, or pain medication without lasting relief, VibraCool Plantar is worth knowing about.
Unlike generic vibration guns and massage devices, VibraCool Plantar is FDA 510(k) cleared as a medical device for pain relief from muscle tension and restriction. It combines high-frequency M-Stim vibration with freeze-solid ice therapy to block pain signals and reduce inflammation on contact. You strap it onto the underside of your foot, switch it on, and it works hands-free for up to 20 minutes. No drugs, no electrical stimulation, no waiting.
How VibraCool Plantar Relieves Heel and Foot Pain
VibraCool works through Gate Control Theory. Vibration and cold stimulate the nerves faster than pain signals can travel, and the brain closes the gate before the pain registers. The same principle as rubbing a bumped elbow instinctively, applied precisely to the underside of your foot. Regular use also increases blood flow to the plantar fascia, speeding up recovery and reducing stiffness.
Modern research shows plantar fasciitis is primarily a degeneration and overuse problem, not just inflammation. The plantar fascia receives limited blood flow, which slows repair. M-Stim vibration at 150 to 200 Hz causes vasodilation, widening blood vessels and increasing circulation directly to the injured tissue. This addresses the root cause, not just the symptoms.
Clinically Proven Results
VibraCool is backed by over 50 independent clinical trials and used in hospitals and physiotherapy clinics worldwide. The research speaks for itself:

Plantar Fasciitis
The freeze-solid ice packs reduce localised inflammation in the fascia and heel. Together, they work faster and more effectively than ice alone — backed by 50+ clinical trials.
Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between the VibraCool models?
Each VibraCool model is made for a different part of the body. They vary in strap size, the type of ice packs they use, and how you control the unit. Every model is designed to work best for the area it’s meant to treat.
What types of injuries can VibraCool be used for?
VibraCool is effective for a variety of acute injuries, including but not limited to:
- Sprains and Strains: Common in areas like the ankles and wrists.
- Bruises and Contusions: Can occur anywhere on the body but are often found on the limbs.
- Tendonitis: Frequently affects areas like the elbows and shoulders.
- Post-surgical Recovery: Particularly useful for recovery in areas such as knees and shoulders.
- Sports Injuries: Commonly involve joints and muscles, such as those in the knees, ankles, and shoulders.
Is Vibracool TENS?
No, VibraCool is not TENS or E-Stim.
TENS units function by electrical stimulation (e-stim) of muscles. TENS units send electrical signals directly through the skin and muscles to stimulate motor nerves. For this reason, TENS units are not useable for individuals with pacemakers. The electrical current travels the shortest possible distance, stimulating only the most surface level nerves in the skin.
VibraCool's mechanical stimulation (m-stim) comes from the specific frequency of vibration studied to relieve pain. No electrical energy is transferred into or through the body, only mechanical motion from the vibration. M-Stim technology is safe for use alongside pacemakers. Nerves are designed to feel motion. M-Stim penetrates deeper into the body, triggering sensation receptors for movement and positioning which the brain rates as more important than pain or surface level touch sensations.
How Do I Change the Batteries in my VibraCool?
Changing the batteries in your VibraCool with 2 alkaline AAA batteries.
Changing the batteries in your VibraCool is easy! Unscrew the back using a Philips head screwdriver. Remove the back panel, then carefully remove batteries. Replace with 2 alkaline AAA batteries. If your VibraCool is not being used for an extended period of time, remove batteries for storage.
Which product works best for gout?
Gout can flare up in different joints, so the right VibraCool unit depends on where you feel the pain.
If the discomfort is on the foot, VibraCool Plantar is the way to go. Position it on top of your foot with the logo facing upward.
For gout affecting the knees or ankles, VibraCool Extended offers the best fit and relief.
If the pain is in your wrist, hand, or elbow, VibraCool EasyFit is the most comfortable and effective option.
