VibraCool Pro Healthcare | Clinical Vibration Therapy Device
VibraCool Pro Healthcare is the clinic model of VibraCool. It gives you a drug-free stim modality with no pads, gels or electrical current. One unit serves your whole caseload. Each patient gets their own ice pack.
Strap it over the sore area with the included latex-free strap, a clinic Theraband or the Velcro on a rigid brace. Switch it on for 10 to 20 minutes before or during the session, then wipe it down for the next patient.
How it worksHow does M-Stim reduce pain?
The unit vibrates at 150 to 200 Hz. That is the range the deep Pacinian corpuscles respond to best. Their signal reaches the dorsal horn alongside the pain signal, and less pain gets through.
Above about 150 Hz, vibration widens the blood vessels under the unit.
The ice pack lowers pain through descending inhibitory control. Each pack melts within a 20-minute session, before frostbite becomes a risk.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is VibraCool Pro Healthcare?
A clinic vibration and cold device for in-clinic pain relief. It vibrates at 150 to 200 Hz and pairs with a single-patient ice pack. One unit is shared between patients and disinfected after each session. It is FDA 510(k) cleared and TGA accepted.
How is it different from the home VibraCool models?
Each home model is sold to one patient, with a strap shaped for one body area, such as the knee or heel. The Pro straps onto any area with a Theraband or brace, is wiped down between patients, and each patient uses their own ice pack.
Is VibraCool Pro a TENS or E-Stim machine?
No. It uses mechanical vibration, not electrical current. There are no electrodes and no muscle twitch. In a crossover trial where the same patients tried both, VibraCool gave up to 3.4 times the pain relief of TENS (Marovino and Baxter, AAPM&R 2019).
How long is a session?
10 to 20 minutes. Fit it before loading, manual therapy or taping, or during the session in place of E-Stim. The ice packs melt within 20 minutes, before frostbite becomes a risk.
Can it be used on more than one patient?
Yes. Wipe and disinfect the unit and straps after each patient. The ice packs are single-patient, so each patient keeps their own.
Can it be used after surgery?
Yes. Its FDA clearance includes myofascial pain after surgery. Place it on intact skin clear of the wound and dressing, and follow the surgeon's post-op instructions.
Is it safe for patients with a pacemaker?
Yes. Pain Care Labs states VibraCool is safe with pacemakers because it uses no electrical current. Check the instructions for use for other precautions.
How do clinics buy VibraCool Pro in Australia and New Zealand?

How M-Stim Differs from TENS
Strap VibraCool Pro over the sore area and switch it on. The vibration goes straight to the deep nerves that block pain, with no pads or electrodes. TENS needs a stronger current to reach the same nerves.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Buzzy Mini Healthcare used for?
Buzzy Mini Healthcare is used in clinical settings for vaccinations, blood draws, IV cannulation, allergy shots, cosmetic injections, and short needle procedures where needle pain and needle phobia need to be managed quickly. For longer procedures like dialysis and infusions, the Buzzy Pro is the recommended model.
What is the difference between Buzzy Mini Healthcare and Buzzy Personal?
The key difference is who they are designed for. Here is a full breakdown:
Buzzy Mini Healthcare:
- Built for multi-patient clinical use
- Medical-grade materials, fully sanitisable between patients
- Two vibration settings: constant and pulse
- 3-minute auto-shutoff, ideal for short procedures like vaccinations
- Compact design tucks under a standard tourniquet
- 12-month warranty
- Recommended for: vaccination clinics, GP practices, hospitals, paediatric wards
Buzzy Personal:
- Designed for single-patient home use only
- For individuals managing ongoing needle procedures at home such as insulin, IVF, or biologics
- Hands-free operation via comfort strap
- 6-month warranty
- Recommended for: home use, personal needle management
Important: using a Personal device in a multi-patient clinical setting voids the warranty.
How does Buzzy Mini Healthcare work?
It uses high-frequency vibration and cold from the ice wings to activate Gate Control Theory, blocking pain signals before they reach the brain. It works on contact with no waiting time, making it practical for busy clinical settings.
How is Buzzy different from numbing cream?
Buzzy works on contact instantly. Numbing creams like EMLA require 45 minutes to take effect, which is impractical in busy vaccination and clinical settings. Buzzy also reduces both pain and fear, while numbing creams address pain only.
Can Buzzy Mini Healthcare be used on children and adults?
Yes. Buzzy is safe for all ages. It is used in paediatric clinics, schools, GP practices, and hospitals for both children and adults. Note that DNIC, the cold pain blocking mechanism, develops around age 4. For younger children, vibration alone still provides effective pain relief.
Is Buzzy Mini Healthcare TGA registered in Australia?
Yes. Buzzy is TGA registered in Australia and Medsafe approved in New Zealand. It is also FDA 510(k) cleared.
Is bulk or clinical pricing available?
Yes. For bulk orders and clinical pricing please visit our For Clinicians page or email michael@moosebaby.co.nz
